Yes, you’ve read that correct…My name is Tuesday – and I was born on a Wednesday. It’s a strange world, is it not?
Upon moving to Toronto in 2008, I began working at a chiropractic office. It was there that I began to appreciate the necessity of healthy lifestyle choices and see preventative health care as a natural approach to achieve optimal health.
Unfortunately, there was also fear that led me to the art of caring for others and helping people realize their full potential. Far too often I see people who are suffering from chronic conditions or aggravating symptoms such as indigestion, skin irritations or sinus problems, to name a few. Sometimes it’s because they have been misinformed and are unaware that by simply adding or removing something from their diet that could improve these conditions. These symptoms are warning signs that should be taken seriously and not just masked by long-term medications.
My mission is to shift your mindset. Rather than waiting to put out the fire, I want you to take the necessary steps to remove all fire hazards and live a preventative lifestyle. What does healthy mean to you? Is it just getting out of bed and making it through the day? Or is it for longevity and wanting to live an active lifestyle, free of pain and medications.
As the founder of Tuesday Live Well, I integrate my skills from the kitchen and expertise as a Holistic Nutritionist, to create a unique support experience for all age groups. I will hold your hand during the process as we explore and integrate changes in your diet and lifestyle. My desire is to make it a smooth transition by giving you the proper tools that you require to make an informed decision to live a healthier lifestyle. I offer every client the full scope of my compassion, dedication and expertise.
Tuesday Live Well is based in Toronto and Mississauga but helps people remotely worldwide via skype consultations.
What is Holistic Nutrition and How Can Everyone Benefit from It?
Holistic Nutrition acknowledges that optimal health requires an individualist approach and that what works for one person, may not work for another. It incorporates the use of whole foods that are found in nature to heal and nourish the body.
The body is so incredible! It uses the food that you eat as fuel to regenerate all the cells in your body. It’s crucial that you are feeding your body with the proper nutrients that it requires to communicate with your body to breakdown and optimally rebuild. Therefore the choices that you make will directly affect how you look, feel and think.
Life is Busy
Life is busy and your time is probably limited due to family life, work, commute times or other obligations. I know that it’s challenging to manage a meal, let alone a healthy one. Operating in fast forward, we often forget to take time for our health. More and more families are eating dinner on the fly; often grabbing fast food on their way to soccer practice or music lessons. These unhealthy eating habits will be carried with your child throughout their life, so it’s important to show them what proper nutrition looks like now. My goal is educate you and your family on fast and efficient nutritional tips in the kitchen.
What’s causing you to make a change?
Maybe you are suffering from signs and symptoms that your body is not well. Indigestion, acne, eczema, insomnia, allergies, inflammation (anything ending in “itis”), fatigue and energy crashes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, low functioning thyroid – there are certain foods that you should be avoiding and others that you should be sure to incorporate. I will walk you through nutrition and healing herbs that are best suited for your conditions.
Perhaps you’re at the stage where you are planning to have a family. Nourishing your body both pre and post pregnancy is very important. My goal is to support you through this process and give you the tools that will help you along the way.
Losing weight is often difficult. Ambitious diet behaviours can do more harm than good, and most often people gain the weight back. My goal is to implement small changes that are practical and more sustainable for longevity. These changes will become a habit and part of your lifestyle.
Don’t wait for the symptoms to arise. Preventative health measures can help everyone. Are you interested in cleaning up your diet and lifestyle, while being environmentally conscious? We come into contact with toxins on a daily basis specifically in the food we eat, the cleaning supplies we use and the beauty products that we apply. Eliminating the ones that we have control over is the best that we can do. I will help you transition to a more natural lifestyle, whether it be educating you on why to avoid certain items and what are better alternatives.
