This is a great afternoon snack, as it is rich in healthy omega 3 fats, high in protein and it will keep you feeling full due to it’s complex carbohydrates. Turmeric is a powerful anti-inflammatory and a strong antioxidant.  


  • 2 C Chickpeas (or 1 can *ideally BPA free)
  • 1 Lemon (about 1/3 C juiced)
  • 3 tbsp Hemp Hearts
  • ½ tsp Turmeric
  • 3 tbsp Tahini
  • 2 tbsp Hemp Oil (or Extra Virgin Olive Oil)
  • ¼ C Filtered Water
  • Sea Salt & Pepper to taste


Put everything in a food processor and blend until smooth. Top with additional hemp hearts and enjoy with raw veggies or crackers (Mary’s Organic Seed Crackers are great!).
